Oraciones en «past simple»

El past simple es un tiempo verbal en inglés que se utiliza para expresar acciones que comenzaron y terminaron en el pasado. Por ejemplo: I went to the movie theater yesterday. / Ayer fui al cine.

El past simple equivale a dos tiempos verbales en español: el pretérito perfecto simple y el pretérito imperfecto. Por ejemplo: enjoyed (disfruté o disfrutaba), saw (vi o veía), came (vino o venía)

Los verbos regulares en past simple terminan siempre en -ed. Por ejemplo: visit / visited, want / wanted, prefer / preferred. Los verbos irregulares no siguen reglas para formar el past simple. Por ejemplo: break / broke, eat / ate, hit / hit.
